Candelaria is a municipality and city in the Pinar del Río Province of Cuba.
The municipality is divided into the barrios of Barrancones, Bayate, Carambola, Frías, Lomas, Pasto Rico, Pueblo, Pueblo Nuevo, Punta Brava, Río Hondo, San Juan de Contreras and San Juan del Norte.[1]
It was founded in 1809, and established as a municipality in 1880.[1]

In 2004, the municipality of Candelaria had a population of 19,523.[3] With a total area of 299 km² (115.4 sq mi),[2] it has a population density of 65.3/km² (169.1/sq mi).
