Candidatus juris (male), Candidata juris (female), abbreviated cand. jur. is an academic degree issued after fivve years study of law in Denmark and after six years in Norway.

After the "Quality Reform" the title is no long issued in Norway, replaced by the degree Master of Law (rettsvitenskap). The last issue of the title was awarded in 2007. After the degree was issued, candidates must perform a two year traineeship before being given permit to operate as a lawyer or judge in their own name. The degree was issued at the University of Oslo, University of Bergen and the University of Tromsø.
