The Bowling Green State University Ice Arena is a 5,000-seat hockey arena in Bowling Green, Ohio. It is home to the Bowling Green State University Falcons ice hockey team of the CCHA. It was built from 1965 to 1967 for a cost of $1.8 million and opened in February 1967. The arena originally had seating for 2,863 until 1989 when it was expanded to its current size of 5,000. The arena is also the home ice for BGSU's men's and women's club hockey teams, Bowling Green High School's varsity and junior varsity hockey teams, and youth and intramural hockey matches.
An eighty by forty foot auxiliary ice sheet called Studio Ice is also located in the BGSU Ice Arena and is used for figure skating, curling, and learn to skate programs. The BGSU Synchronized Skating Team, the Bowling Green Figure Skating Club, the BGSU Club Curling team (which competes in College Curling USA), the Bowling Green City Curling Club, as well as other individual ice skating programs and competitions use Studio Ice as their main ice sheet.
