Balthasar Charles of Spain, Prince of Asturias and Portugal (Spanish:Baltasar Carlos; Portuguese:Baltazar Carlos) was the eldest son of King Philip IV of Spain and III of Portugal and his first wife, Elisabeth of Bourbon. He was born on 17 October 1629 in Madrid, and died 9 October 1646 in Zaragoza at the age of sixteen. He bore the titles Prince of Asturias and Prince of Portugal.
Prince Baltasar Carlos was depicted in a number of portraits by Diego de Velázquez.
