Ballet Fantastique

Ballet Fantastique is a non-profit chamber ballet company in Eugene, Oregon. The organization began in 2000 and gained recognition from the Eugene Weekly as the first nonprofit professional ballet academy and chamber ballet company in Eugene-Springfield in 2003. According to a Eugene Weekly article their chamber ensemble group performs about 20 shows a year.

Ballet Fantastique's mission statement: "Ballet Fantastique, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, keeps classical ballet vibrantly alive in our city through unique, community-centered, world-class training, educational, and performance experiences for young artists, audiences, and professionals."

Classes at the Ballet Fantastique Academy follow the Vaganova Syllabus and are limited to 5 students per class in the Professional Division (ages 10-professional), and 8 students per class in the Children's Division (ages 4 and up). Director Donna Marisa Bontrager says that this is to ensure that students "receive professional training bolstered with extensive personal attention."
