As with many of the disused stations, the one at Ballaugh is today a private dwelling although the trackbed remains a public right of way. The station building is of similar construction to the one a Kirk Michael and as with many rural stations the line is dissected by a road and on the northerly side there was once a modest goods yard, cattle dock and siding. Today this area is grassed over and makes a pleasant destination for the walking of dogs. To mark the station's origins, the owners have installed station type gates featuring the familiar red "targets" as used on level crossings. The station was opened in 1879 and remained open until the railway closed in 1968.
