Baguley Hall

Baguley Hall is a 14th century timber framed hall in Baguley, Greater Manchester (grid reference SJ81628874).[1] It is listed as a Grade I listed building[2] and a Scheduled Ancient Monument. [1] The current hall, though dating to the 14th century, may be on the site of an earlier hall, possibly from the 11th or 12th century. The 14th century hall was built by Sir William de Baguley or one of his two sons, John and William.[1] Alterations were made to the hall in the 17th and 18th centuries, when the south wing was added and the north wing was remodelled.[2] The hall was used as a farm building until the mid 20th century when it was abandoned.[1]
