The Augusta Lynx are the ECHL team based in Augusta, Georgia. The Lynx currently play their home games at the James Brown Arena. The Lynx are currently unaffiliated with any NHL or AHL teams. The team is named in honor of The Masters golf tournament held in Augusta, as a slang term for playing golf is "hitting the links" (Lynx is a play on words of that title.)
