Ante Kovacevic (born June 13, 1974 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player with Croatian origins playing for Floreat Athena. He last played as a centre full back for the Australian A-League club Perth Glory before retiring in March 2007. One of the better defenders in the old NSL in its latter years and a member of the Melbourne Knights sides of the early nineties, Kovacevic returned from playing for Selangor FC in Malaysia to line up with the Perth Glory in the new A-League where he was solid at first before an injury midway through the season ruined the later half of his first A-League season. Kovacevic has also turned out for Adelaide City and South Melbourne FC in the old NSL.
Ante is currently in a short term replacement role with Perth Glory while they have several players injured, suspended and on national duty.
