[edit] History
Angelo Rodriguez High School is the newest high school in Fairfield, California. This school has been named both a California Distinguished School[4] and a National School of Excellence.[citation needed] This school is encompassed into the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District, which includes several other area high schools, junior high schools, and elementary schools. Their athletic teams are known as the Mustangs and the school colors are Green, White, and Black.[3]
The school started out in the year 2001. The first year only had freshman and sophomores. As the years progressed, the school started to see the population increase. By the year 2003-2004, the school had all 4 classes up and running. The class of 2004 was the very first graduating class. The class of 2005 was the first real graduating class, since they started as freshmen.[citation needed]

The campus is quite smaller than the other Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District high schools. Unlike the others though, this is the first second story school built in Fairfield. This school includes 4 staircases leading up to the top classrooms and an elevator for the handicapped.
In the year 2005-2006, the school finally built their very own track. This allowed the physical education classes to run and use it. By the year 2006-2007, they decided to work on the football stadium and grass. Unfortunately, they did not finish until the year 2007-2008. The stadium was put to use on September 24, 2007 against Fairfield High School.
