Andrew "Andy" Fantuz, (born December 18, 1983 in Chatham, Ontario) is a slotback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. Fantuz is 6ft 4in and 221 pounds. In his first year with the Riders, he had 30 catches for 408 yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, and 1 rushing touchdown. Andrew holds the CIS single season receiving record. He played for the University of Western Ontario in the CIS. While at Western, Andy lived in Essex Hall, John St., and at 675 Richmond St. He wore number 2 at Western, and wears number 83 with the Riders.
On October 14, 2007 had 240 yards of pass receiving and three touchdowns against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
On November 25, 2007, Andy won the Most Valuable Canadian in the Saskatchewan Roughriders win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at the 95th Grey Cup. Andy had 70 yards receiving and the game winning touchdown.
Andy attended John McGregor Secondary School from 1997-2002 where he played Football and Basketball.

Dressed in all 18 regular season games and both playoff games...started nine regular season games and both playoff games at slotback...made first CFL start in Week 10...had first CFL reception in Week 5 against Toronto...finished that game with five catches for 51 yards...had three catches for 39 yards and first CFL touchdown in Week 13...had season high seven catches for 110 yards and a touchdown in Week 18...had four catches for 53 yards in two playoff games...finished season with 30 receptions for 408 yards and three touchdowns. Played four seasons at Western Ontario…won the Hec Creighton award as the best player in CIS football in 2005… was the CIS Rookie of the Year in 2002…three-times named 1st Team All-Canadian, 2nd Team All-Canadian…was a Two-time Team MVP… holds the CIS single-season receiving yards record and the CIS career receiving yards, touchdowns and receptions records. Andy spent this past off-season in Ontario.
