Alison Davis-Blake is an American professor currently serving as Dean of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She received her B.S. in Economics (summa cum laude and with highest (University) honors) in 1979 from Brigham Young University. She subsequently earned a M.O.B. from the University's Marriott School of Management in 1982. Her Ph.D. in Organizational behavior (1986) is from Stanford University. [1] Davis-Blake is the school’s first female dean, and she is currently the highest-ranking female dean at any U.S. business school. Prior to her appointment at Minnesota, Davis-Blake worked in various academic and administrative capacities at The University of Texas at Austin.[2]
Davis-Blake's academic service include editor positions with both the Academy of Management Review and Administrative Science Quarterly.[1]
