Talk:Alfa Romeo 159
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wouldn't the convertible be the Brera Spyder? -- stewacide 04:32, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Indeed, there will be no convertible 159. Well, you never know with those Italians of course. ;-)
[edit] Compact executive car?
I would be careful about using this term, it is a catchphrase used by some journalists rather than an established term. I'd say it's just a large family car - the reason is that every automaker tries to be "premium", so the term carries some POV. Nothing THAT important, but worth considering. - Actually, I'm an automotive journalist, and I've never heard about the term "compact executive". If that is a term used by american journalists, I believe it makes no sense to describe a car that is not available in North America. However, "premium" is well established among most automotive publications in Europe. --Pc13 07:39, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- Not North American, British (WhatCar and 4Car regularly give away awards for "best compact executives" and refer to BMW 3er and similar vehicles so in their reviews). Premium is well-established of course, it's just a vague term and it does carry some POV, as it is favorable to be viewed as "premium". Therefore I think that "large family car" would be a more neutral term.
- On an unrelated note, I've just seen the Autobianchi A112 in your "created articles" section - I was wondering whether you would interested in collaborating to further expand and improve the article on this interesting car. I think there are enough sources to try to create a GA or even FA out of it. Let me know on my or the car's talk page! Thanks! Bravada, talk - 11:09, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
