Alex Carter (born July 7, 1982 in Oldham) is an English actor best known for appearing in soap operas.
Initially acting in the Sunday evening drama Where the Heart Is in 1999, Carter joined the cast of Hollyoaks as the youngest member of the Hunter family, Lee, in 2001. After four years in the show the character left on a round the world tour and the actor quickly resurfaced in the Yorkshire set soap opera Emmerdale as Jamie Hope on February 16, 2006.
Carter is a loyal fan of Oldham Athletic football club, and hosts the Saturday afternoon sports programme on Oldham's local radio station The Revolution 96.2.
He has a girlfriend Sam, whom he met in a local pub.
His parents own the Post Office in Delph, Saddleworth.
His brother is in a band called The Whip.
