Alejandro Damían "El Chori" Domínguez is a football player, who plays for FC Zenit Saint Petersburg in Russia. He has played for the Argentine youth national team.
During 2006 pre-season Rubin Kazan tried to sell him, but they wasn't satisfied with amounts of money offered for him and decided to keep him in the team.[1] Domínguez was signed by FC Zenit Saint Petersburg for € 7 million before the start of 2007 Russian season, breaking the record transfer fee inside the Russian Premier League.[1] Zenit had chased him because of his considerable technical abilities such as great dribbling and passing. He is also a very fast player. One of his most notable performance was in 4-0 UEFA Cup victory over Bayern Munich which sent Zenit to the final of the competition for the first time in the history of the club. Dominguez played exceptionally and provided 2 assists. Dominguez was filling in for the suspended Andrei Arshavin and did not play competitive match for 2 months.
