Talk:Albuquerque (song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Should we remove the part about the unofficial flash anim for the song, since its just advertising Newgrounds and Albino Blacksheep. (its on any major video site, GV or YT or whatever. --Joooeeeelllll 03:11, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Changed a few minor details in the plot, a few minor mistakes... Billvoltage
I removed the link to a webcomic, simply because it looked like someone plugging their own work, which is not what Wikipedia is about.Taylor 05:50, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Made a slight change to the summary... it said "the plane's engines burned out" when the song seems to say that only "three of the engines burned out". Should it be mentioned that in Albuquerque "the towels are oh so fluffy"? Geh heh heh (talk) 02:16, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Lyrics link
I've removed someone's personal website as a violation of WP:EL (self-promotion and advertising) and am considering instead a link to http://www.alsongs.com. Thoughts? RadioKirk (u|t|c) 17:58, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Some summary...
You know, with such a summary, maybe it would save space you just list the whole lyrics. :) Or does that violate copyrights? RagingR2 10:38, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Didn't I say something about this awhile ago? Anyway, I'm in favor of this, since the "summary" is basically a rephrase of the lyrics. I beleive this is the situation with a great number of Al songs. If we're going to summarize, we should do it right, or just give the lyrics? (Frazz 16:25, 18 April 2007 (UTC))
I agree with you guys. The previous summary was nothing more than a paraphrasing of the lyrics. If you tried to post the lyrics on the site, you could end up in trouble for copyrights. The only sites that can post lyrics are all of those lyric sites. The summary now is much better. Sigmund1989 Talk to Me 11:02 A.M., 30 April 2007 (PDT)
SORRY! You're all wrong. its 2 AM and im bored so i counted all the words. The summary is, in fact, shorter. HEHE! --Joooeeeelllll 06:11, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- This summary needs some cleanup. It's too similar to the lyrics as it is. --Temporarily Insane (talk) 21:09, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Longest Song By Al?
Should it be noted that it "technically" may not be the longest song by Al? On the album version of "You Don't Love Me Anymore" it actually lasts 14+ minutes, though not entirely filled with audio. SpellingD 23:48, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, technically it is. You Don't Love Me Anymore is 14 minutes because it has "Bite Me" on it. If you count the two song separate, Albuquerque is his longest song ever. --BlooWilt 22:43, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 'Not a song'?
"Albuquerque" should only loosely be considered a song.
That's a very incorrect statement. Even though the song is not sung (but rather narrated), it is still a song (as in a piece of music). I el-deeted it.203.87.119.103 02:41, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Way to go, Mr. 203.87.119.103! Thanks for your contribution. --Joooeeeelllll 06:12, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] TRIVIA incorrect
it says that the song clocks at 11:25 adding up to 27 when he never uses 27s. But this can be disputed. i have the song and iTunes times it up at 11:23. as does Windows Media Player. Also, one line says, quote, "The Movie, which is an unofficial video for the song." What the heck?? I guess someone forgot to finish their thought or just had a typo.

[edit] Running time is not 27
11:25 does not particularly add up to 27. One could easily add 1+1+2+5 to get 9, 11+25 to get 36, or 11+2+5 to get 18. I'm sure many such instances can occur with many numbers, depending on which ones you decide to string together and which ones to add. Yelling Bird 16:15, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Long unanswered question
how many molecules ARE there in Leonard Nimoy's butt?? --Joooeeeelllll 03:02, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Who knows? I don't think Leonard Nimoy himself knows. --BlooWilt 00:57, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Weirdalrunningwithscissors.jpg
Image:Weirdalrunningwithscissors.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
