Al Batinah Region

Al Bāţinah (Arabic: الباطنة) is one of the regions (mintaqah) of Oman.
Al Batinah Region, otherwise known as Al Batinah Coast is one of the most highly populated regions of Oman.
It occupies an important location on the coast of Gulf of Oman.It lies between Khatmat Malahah in the north and Ras AL Hamra in the south and confined between Al Hajr Al Gharbi mountains in the west and the Gulf of Oman in the east .
Al Batinah Region contains the largest number of wilayat numbering twelve :Sohar, Ar Rustaq, Shinas, Liwa, Saham, Al Khaburah, As Suwayq, Nakhal, Wadi Al Maawil, Al Awabi, Al Musanaah, Barka.
Sohar Town is one of the Regional centers of the region.
