Category talk:African American culture

While I appreciate the attempt to begin a piece on this subject, the approach needs work. A category on "chitterlings" and "pickled pig's feet"? No. This is trivia. There is already an article on soul food -- a simple reference to it and the link should suffice. Right now, this is just a hodepodge, the approach of which is simply scattershot. This needs lots of work! deeceevoice 07:15, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Jeeze. My bad. I just realize this is a "category" page. (I'm a newbie and didn't know there was such a thing.) No wonder it seems disjointed! deeceevoice 07:16, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Don't worry, I thought the same thing. Should I add some of the best games played at family reunions to the list? Dominoes.. Spades.. or should we just stick to the meat and potatoes of things? You know someone will come up with the remark that 'Oh, white people play Spades too'. Well, white people eat pickled pig's feet too! (one snack I could never stomach.. its meat jello!) --Aika 15:11, Mar 23, 2005 (UTC)
