Hi there. You asked about the costs of implantable heart pacemakers. The range here in Australia is about $9000 to $19000 depending on the complexity of the type. AU$ is US$ 82c. The surgical and hospital costs are on top of that. Much of the cost of the device is imposed by the cost of meeting the FDA approval and compliance procedures which can be over US$1 million for a new model range. Geoffrey Wickham
