Talk:Adrian Frutiger

[edit] Fan
I'm a huge fan of Frutiger's work, so it's quite embarrassing to admit that I don't know how to pronounce his last name!!! I've checked with several friends who know about foreign languages: some of them told me it should be pronounced as in french, something like "fruitysheh"; other people told me it's a german lastname, so it should be something like "frootigah". I'm very confussed, I hope somebody could help me.
It's "Frutiger" with a "ger" at the end, hope that helps you

Doesn't help me - do you mean 'ger' as in 'geriatric', 'ger' as in 'germ', or 'ger' as in 'Gertrude'? Ian Tindale 09:03, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- It's typically pronounced FRU-tÉ™-gur with a hard 'g' sound. In French-speaking countries, including western Switzerland, some people may pronounce it differently. Rivertorch 21:35, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
