Academy of General Dentistry

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is a professional association of more than 35,000 general dentists from the United States and Canada. Founded in 1952, the AGD has grown to become the world’s second largest dental association, behind the American Dental Association (ADA). The AGD exclusively represents the interests of general dentists. Its headquarters office is located in Chicago, Illinois.
The mission of the Academy of General Dentistry is to serve the needs and represent the interests of general dentists, to promote the oral health of the public, and to foster continued proficiency of general dentists through quality continuing dental education in order to better serve the public.
