Kranaatinheitin 81 KRH 71 Y is the light mortar used by the Finnish Army. It is used to support the infantry by indirect and direct fire. 81 mm mortars are used by mortar platoons of infantry companies. One mortar platoon consists of three mortar squads. Jaeger Company M05 has a fire support squad consisting of two 81 mm mortars.
