The Cincinnati Reds' 1992 season consisted of the Cincinnati Reds attempting to win the National League West. The Reds finished in second place in their division behind the Atlanta Braves.

- November 15, 1991: Greg Swindell was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Cincinnati Reds for Jack Armstrong, Scott Scudder, and Joe Turek (minors). [1]
- December 8, 1991: Randy Myers was traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the San Diego Padres for a player to be named later and Bip Roberts. The San Diego Padres sent Craig Pueschner (minors) (December 9, 1991) to the Cincinnati Reds to complete the trade. [2]
