The 1983 Major League Baseball All-Star Game was the 54th playing of the midsummer classic between the all-stars of the American League (AL) and National League (NL), the two leagues comprising Major League Baseball. The game was held on July 6, 1983, at Comiskey Park in Chicago, Illinois, the home of the Chicago White Sox of the American League. The game resulted in the American League defeating the National League 13-3. The game occurred exactly 50 years to the date of the first All-Star game. The game is remembered for Fred Lynn's third inning grand slam. As of 2007, it is the only grand slam in All-Star Game history.
