  • November 18, 1974: Nate Colbert was traded as part of a 3-team trade by the San Diego Padres to the Detroit Tigers. The San Diego Padres sent a player to be named later to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Detroit Tigers sent Bob Strampe and Dick Sharon to the San Diego Padres. The Detroit Tigers sent Ed Brinkman to the St. Louis Cardinals. The St. Louis Cardinals sent Alan Foster, Rich Folkers, and Sonny Siebert to the San Diego Padres. The San Diego Padres sent Danny Breeden (December 12, 1974) to the St. Louis Cardinals to complete the trade.
