From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 1946 Masters Tournament was contested from April 4 to April 7 at Augusta National Golf Club. It was the 10th Masters Tournament and the first since 1942 because of World War II. The purse was $10,000, double that of the previous ten years.
Herman Keiser went on to win the first post-war Masters Tournament. Keiser and Ben Hogan both three-putted the 18th hole on Sunday to allow Keiser to win by one stroke.
