Phoenix Academy

This article is about a U.S. military training school. For the K-5 charter school in North Carolina, see Phoenix Academy (North Carolina).
The Phoenix Academy is located on an Iraqi Army base in Taji, Iraq. The Iraq Assistance Group (IAG), is in charge of the Phoenix Academy and it is the final additional training that the Military transition team (MiTT), receive before they are assigned to advise Iraqi Security Forces.
A variety of classes are taught such as Counter-insurgency (COIN), Rules of Engagement, cultural awareness, and the history of Iraq.
