Philipp I of Nassau-Weilburg

Count Philipp I of Nassau-Weilburg (13682 July 1429), was Count of Nassau in Weilburg in 1371-1429.

He was a son of Count John I of Nassau-Weilburg and Johanna of Saarbrücken.

He was married two times. Firstly, he married in 1385 with Anna von Hohenlohe-Weikersheim (d. 11 October 1410), daughter of Count Kraft IV von Hohenlohe-Weikersheim. Secondly, he married in 1412 with Isabelle of Lorraine. All children, except the first, namely Philipp, were born in the first marriage.

  3. John II of Nassau-Saarbrücken.
  4. Johannetta (d. 1 February 1481, Römhild), married on 22 June 1422 to Count Georg I of Henneberg.
  5. Margarete (26 April 14265 May 1490), married in 1441 to Gerhard of Rodemachern.

Also, he had at least three illegitimate children.
