5 (gum)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

5 is a brand of sugar-free chewing gum manufactured by the Wrigley Company and introduced to U.S. markets in March 2007 and in Canada in January 2008 at a retail price of US$1.49 for 15 sticks. Advertisements for the gum suggest it stimulates all five of the human senses. The brand features three flavors, each suggesting a unique effect on the chewer: the cinnamon flavor (Flare) is said to heat up as it is chewed, the spearmint flavor (Rain) "tingles," and the peppermint flavor (Cobalt) is said to cool down as it is chewed. It also contains phenylalanine and soy lecithin. It is also notable that the gum has 5 calories per piece.

[edit] Varieties

5 Gum currently comes in three flavors: Rain, the tingling of spearmint; Cobalt, the cooling of peppermint; and Flare, the warming of cinnamon. But there are two new flavors in stores called "Lush," and "Elixer."
