Kjeller Airport (ICAO: ENKJ) is located in Kjeller, Norway.
Kjeller is a military airport near Lillestrøm, Norway, with facilities for carrying out maintenance for aircraft belonging to the Royal Norwegian Air Force. It is also worth mentioning that Kjeller is Norway's first airport, built in 1912. Kjeller has a small civil part, where recreational pilots take-off and land. The largest plane to have landed at Kjeller is a Boeing 737 and it is frequently used by C-130 Hercules transports. Cancer medicines get flown in to Kjeller for Ullevaal Hospital and Rikshospitalet; in nearby Oslo. The airport is also open for general aviation, and there is a small aircraft museum. Aviation has a long history at Kjeller: In the first part of the 20th century there was a small aircraft factory building military planes.
