[edit] Format

A 20 to 1 episode typically starts with the 20th ranked event and makes its way down until it reaches the 1st. With each event, a short clip containing material such as film and video, news or radio excerpts, eye witness reports etc. is shown. This is followed by comments from a number of celebrities and well-known Australian personalities. These people tell of their thoughts, reactions and comments about the event. In all of the 20 to 1 episodes Bert Newton always likes to add his two cents worth into a joke about the clip or topic.
