"Battery" adalah lagu pertama dalam album Metallica tahun 1986 Master of Puppets. Lagu ini bertemakan kemarahan yang dapat mengendalikan perilaku seseorang. "Battery" hampir selalu dimainkan dalam konser Metallica, biasanya sebagai lagu pembuka, penutup, atau lagu sebelum intermission. Dalam konser S&M tahun 1999, lagu ini digunakan Metallica untuk encore kedua setelah "Enter Sandman".
Lagu ini pernah dicover oleh:
- Machine Head untuk album Kerrang!'s Master of Puppets: Remastered, dan juga merupakan lagu bonus dalam album mereka The Blackening
- Van Canto secara a cappella dalam album perdana mereka A Storm To Come
- Ensiferum untuk Evil Ultimate Metal Covers No. 55 dan single "Tale of Revenge"
- Eric AK (Flotsam & Jetsam), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Mike Clark, dan Robert Trujillo untuk Metallic Assault: A Tribute to Metallica. Dave Lombardo juga memainkan lagu ini live dengan Metallica ketika Lars Ulrich tidak hadir dalam 2004 Download Festival.
