Shrinking Violet is the only L.A. Guns album with singer Jizzy Pearl and the last with bassist Johnny Crypt. Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke made a guest appearance on this album, on the song "Dreamtime", and also produced the album.
There are at least two versions of this album, each having a different arrangement of the songs.
