[edit] Sam Ybarra

I noticed that you put a notability tag in the talk page of the article. But notability tag shoulg be in the article, not in the talk page. Thanks. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 11:31, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding your message.

Hello. Thanks for your message. My reasoning for removing flags from infoboxes has always been WP:Flagcruft, which is the reasoning used by most other editors for removing flag icons---if you click on that link, though, you will be redirected, as there is no "flagcruft" definition or policy. Rereading WP:MOSFLAG, I find that there is no argument to be found therein for removal of flag icons from infoboxes. If you check Talk:American Revolutionary War, you will see that the flags issue has been discussed in the past. Many editors appear to prefer the flags not be there, though this might be based on a misapprehension of the policy. MOS never says the flags are not allowed, but there is certainly no cross-Wikipedia consensus on their place. For myself, I do not mind them, and actually believe they can be useful, but believed myself to be correctly applying policy when I removed them. Now, I see that I may have been mistaken. What are your thoughts on the matter? ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 16:39, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

You are, of course, welcome. I actually appreciate your message, because it forced me to look into the policy, which is, as you say, ambiguous. As I believe I said above, I was under the impression that the WP:Flagcruft policy was hard-and-fast. But, no, not at all. I agree, though, that the flags added nothing in this case. Nonetheless, a more consistent policy would be helpful. Cheers! ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 01:02, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User:Trip Johnson

Hi there, User:Trip Johnson has a habit of making uncited changes to casualty figures (see his edits in early December for examples). It's best to reverse them pending the citation. Nunquam Dormio (talk) 07:54, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

P.S. I don't regard him as a vandal, just a sometimes flawed and cavalier editor. Nunquam Dormio (talk) 12:28, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Idaho National Laboratory

Hey, Rockfall - I had tagged it due to the military research and training that apparently takes (or took) place there - for example, SL-1. If it's a bad fit for the project I apologize, still getting the hang of this. Nesodak (talk) 15:56, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Lafayette Square

Lafayette Square, Buffalo hosts an important American Civil War monument. I don't know if this makes the square relevant for your group.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 16:17, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Battle of Cowpens

I don't recall altering casualty figures, but I did alter the numbers. Someone edited them to around 1,000 on each side, where the numbers listed below clearly add up to 1,900 for the Americans and 1,150 for the British. (Trip Johnson (talk) 21:59, 13 March 2008 (UTC))

[edit] BCAD

Hi! We're looking to finish the BCAD drive within the next few days. People do sign up and find themselves, for a variety of excellent reasons, unable to complete their range as quickly as they intended. I see you've done about two thirds of your range. Will you be able to finish it soon or may I allocate it to another editor as it is important we wrap this drive up before the main one starts mid-April-ish. If I don't hear within 24 hours, I'll assume that you have no objections. All the best,--ROGER DAVIES talk 08:05, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Thank you very much for letting me know :) --ROGER DAVIES talk 21:40, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
