Real Living, Inc. was established in 2002. It is owned and operated by CEO and Managing Partner Harley E. Rouda, Jr. and President Kaira Sturdivant Rouda. Real Living has nearly 4,000 agents, $7.2 billion in annual sales (2006) and 180 offices throughout 21 states. Company owned offices include Real Living HER, in Columbus, Real Living Realty One, in Cleveland, and Real Living Realty Services, in Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Real Living has won awards in categories ranging from real estate to public relations. Real Living won the Luxury Real Estate award for Best Web site (RealLiving.com). They also won a PRism Award for Real Living Magazine and Web site (MyRealLiving 2.00), awarded by the Public Relations Society of America.

In the 2008 Swanepoel Trends Report Real Living was named "Most Promising New Brand."
