Oak Bay Secondary School

Oak Bay High School is the largest secondary school in the Greater Victoria School District. It is located in Oak Bay, British Columbia, Canada. Roughly 1500 students attend in grades 9 to 12 in both regular and French immersion programs in two buildings, called East and West. The first high school in Oak Bay was opened in 1915 where the Oak Bay Municipal Hall now stands. However this school was quickly over crowded and replace by what is now the East Building at the schools present location on Cranmore road in 1929. A junior high school was constructed on the other side of the school yard opening in 1958 while the two schools joined in the late 1970s. The school also boasts strong arts program including from 1996-2006 the Oak Bay Community Theatre.

Oak Bay has a very strong athletics program with its cross country and track and field team being one of the most successful in British Columbia and with a strong rugby union team enjoying a long running rivalry with St. Michaels University School. Oak Bay High has also enjoyed recent success in the B.C. Track and Field Championships. For the first time in B.C. track history, Oak Bay won the "Triple Crown". The boys, girls and overall provincial banner.
