Nigel Horne, brass band composer and computer hacker (in the true sense of the word - not the tabloid misuse).
Allround know-it-all, though probably more like a jack of all trades and master of none, he has degrees in Computer Science, Physics and Band Studies (a music degree with the practical side - conducing and performance - focusses on brass bands). To add to his bits of paper he has a postgraduate diploma in computing and is going to have a blast at reasearch into brass and wind band composition starting in September 2004.
