Mary Lou Makepeace

Mary Lou Makepeace was the mayor of Colorado Springs from 1997 to 2003, serving between Robert M. Isaac, the city's first elected mayor, and Lionel Rivera, the present one. She is the current director of the The Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado.[1]
Makepeace graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 1979 with a Masters degree in Public Affairs.
