Martindale is a future Calgary Transit LRT C-Train station on the Northeast Line/Route 202. It is expectd to open in 2011.[1]
The station is one of two that will be constructed as part of a 3.1-kilometre extension of the Northeast line from McKnight-Westwinds Station to Saddletowne Station. It will be located in a reserved right-of-way within the community of Martindale, immediatley east of Martindale Boulevard. There will be no park-and-ride lots at the station nor a bus terminal, unlike most other C-Train stations in Calgary.[2]
Construction on the extension is anticipated to begin in 2008 with completion in 2011, and is expected to cost about C$110 000 000.[3]
