The Marcy Houses is a low income public housing project in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn in New York City. The project consists of 27 six-story buildings on 28.49 acres, with 1,705 apartments housing some 4,286 residents. Completed on January 19, 1949, it is bordered by Flushing, Marcy, Nostrand and Myrtle Avenues. The area is considered one of the rougher parts of New York City.[1]
