Marc Jorgenson

Marc Jorgenson is an award-winning Canadian multimedia artist, electronics inventor, writer, musician and recording engineer based in Vancouver, Canada.
Jorgenson is known for his pioneering work exchanging music files over the early internet in 1983. He presented his findings and file-sharing vision at Digicon '85: International Arts Conference on Computers and Creativity.
In 1988 he founded MIDI City Studios, a small but influential Vancouver-based recording studio that helped launch the careers of several Canadian recording artists including: the Rascalz (Juno Award 1998, Best Rap Recording, Cash Crop), [1], Mad Child (of Swollen Members) and soulDecision.
He is best known as a sound designer contributing to several video games[2] a feature film [3] and dozens of toys and electronic books.
