[edit] Re: removal of text regarding Lions Bay and GVRD/SRD
I added an edit about Lions Bay considering leaving the GVRD and becoming part of the Squamish Regional District. I feel this is an important descision for this community and could have a notable impact on it's residents, and infrastrcutre projects. Anyways my edit was reverted, therefore instead of engaging in a revert war I ask whomever has an objection to this being added speak up or forever hold your peace.
- As the editor who removed it, I'll repeat my comment from the edit log:
"rv. text re: leaving GVRD (interesting, first I've heard of it, please list verifiable source for this and it can be restored)"
- I heard it from an inside source (e.g. a councillor from another GVRD city) I don't think he would lie but as for verification I will look, I also wrote something on the lions bay talk page. In the future I would appreciate if you wrote that comment that wason the history on the talk page where the original editor is more likely to see it. Please don't take that as an insult, it's just a suggestion, cheers, from British Columbia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.230.105.163 (talk • contribs)
- Unfortunately, it would have to be published in some form or another. As for the note re: edit comments, certainly there's no insult taken. Please note, though, that the edit summary is a common location for explanations of edits, particularily when the edit is very minor in nature (or based on common Wikipedia practices.) Cheers. --Ckatzchatspy 19:26, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- To add on I'm not in favour of the new municipality box in vancouver's article it was better when it listed all of the municipalities, I know it is not typical convention but I sincerely believe it should be for center cities if you know what I mean like Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary etc etc, the main city should link to the other cities in it's region.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.230.105.163 (talk • contribs)
- The decision regarding the nav box was to keep it simpler, as the older versions were far too crowded (to the point where they weren't useful any more.) BTW, I've moved our discussion here, as it is better to have it in a location where editors for the page in question can reference it (as opposed to being off on a personal talk page). --Ckatzchatspy 19:59, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Ckatz: this is from this web address here: http://www.lionsbay.citymax.com/page/page/2817119.htm and I quote. Does this count as a source, cause I've never sourced things before so I'm unaware of the procedure. I tried to post what the website said in here but I got wierd syntax...anyways it should be on that link. aslo http://www.lionsbay.citymax.com/page/page/2724483.htm
- Hello... sorry it has taken a while to get back to you. Saw the edit, and it reminded me of what I had to do. Anyways, I've rewritten the text to reflect what the references support. The other details, such as why they are considering such an action, would need to have some sort of reference as well. Municipal council minutes are good, but a web blog wouldn't be. --Ckatzchatspy 02:03, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
