[edit] History
The Danish National Association of Gays and Lesbians originally had a local division in Odense, which in the last 2 years until 1993 also had the Discotek and Café Pan in Sankt Anne Gade in the middle of Odense. When the Disco were closed down, the whole board went of in protest, and when LBL didn’t succeed to remake the local division in Odense, a group of people decided to make a new gay community. They Founded Lambda September 11 1993,after a meeting in Brandts Klædefabrik in Odense. In 1994 Pan Odense had to close again, and a lot of gay people didn’t have a place to party. Lambda made a reantaldeal for the basement in Vindegade 100, where there until June 2005 were café every Friday and Saturday, and a big Rainbowparty every other weekend. In June 2005, Lambda had to move from the location in Vindegade when the house from now on should be used for apartments. They still havn’t found new locations.
