Karen Harup (born November 20, 1924) is a Dansh swimmer and olympic champion. She competed at the 1948 Olympic Games in London, where she received a gold medal in 100 m backstroke, and silver medals in 400 m freestyle and 4 × 100 m freestyle relay.[1]

Harup set two world records during her career, one in 4 × 100 yd freestyle relay in 1943, and one in 3 × 100 m medley relay in 1947.

She was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1975.[2][3]
