[edit] North Sea
Hello yourself, and Island Kayaker have done a wonderful job with the German-English translation of the North Sea, and improving the English version of the article on the North Sea! How many sources/references are needed per section to remove the sources needed error at the top of the web page article on the North Sea. I have tried to add relevant links to the article content, but I am not sure how far to go. I don't think I can add too much more from my end of the universe, unless more sources/references are required. SriMesh | talk 03:52, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

- Me again...Tried also to nominate the North Sea for a DYK as it seems to have expanded five fold or more in the past five days. Did you wish to also plop a DYK comment in? SriMesh | talk 04:02, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hello there. The layout of the North Sea article is getting better, however, do you think that the listing of islands near the top can be adjusted somehow? Is it a long enough island listing to be an article of itself? Or do you think tis OK as is? SriMesh | talk 18:04, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- The new layout / improvement of the north Sea is awesome. Thanks!!!SriMesh | talk 00:27, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- The North Sea article is looking better and better! As many of the peer reviews have bee overcome - soon we may see a higher rating?!?! SriMesh | talk 03:13, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hello - I see you have the article at GAR! Good luck - I can't do a review as I contributed to the article, I hope it does very well! Kind Regards SriMesh | talk 04:05, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Introduction
I have made a sandbox page to play with introduction. User:SriMesh/Sandbox/NorthSeaIntro I made a possible first two paragraphs trying to introduce the article as a whole, and need to continue into a third paragraph about history summary.... Under the paragraphs I made a discussion - table of contents to introduce, concepts from WP lead 1. Context 2. Characterization 4. Compare and contrast 5. Criticism , and peeked in at wikiproject lakes and rivers to try to give me an outline for the lead to consider. I also looked at other lead sentences and paragraphs of the adjoining water bodies of the Atlantic Ocean...but they are not spectacular.SriMesh | talk 05:26, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- I skiminched the whole article into four paragraphs for an introduction. I alleviated some concerns on the North Sea talk page, and put the other names of the North Sea in to the second paragraph, and took out the technical terms from the very first paragraph. What do you think of the paragraphs above ***----***---***---*** at User:SriMesh/Sandbox/NorthSeaIntro They could be further copy edited I am sure, but it provides a starting point to summarize the table of contents into the introduction. I also added this comment to the North Sea talk page for further discussion.SriMesh | talk 05:25, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hello there again. Perhaps the paragraph about the maritime history on the North Sea could be a paragraph elsewhere in the article to condense all the history of the North Sea with a see also to the History of the North Sea article and then the quote would not be in the intro. As you are right quotes shouldn't be in the introduction. Then maybe the rest of the intro would be all right. SriMesh | talk 05:23, 21 September 20
[edit] North Sea History
Hello there! Good job, with this. I was bold and made a few tweaks, as they can be seen in the history portion of the page. Overall, it seems to encompass the claim to fame the North Sea had over the years for the bordering civilizations very well. Kind Regards SriMesh | talk 01:22, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

The task force dedicated to creating and improving articles on all German cities and municipalities is happy to announce that there are now (at least) stub articles for all municipalities of Germany. Now the task force is looking for help in fleshing these out a little bit. The current phase of activity for the task force is to copy in infoboxes from the articles in German Wikipedia. If you want to help, even just for a few articles, look at the instructions and links here
There are now way over 26.000 articles tagged as part of our Wikiproject and many still need either an importance or a quality assessment. Also there are many more out there that do need to be tagged like approx 8000 municipalities. If you would like to help take a browse through Articles needing Importance assessment or Articles needing a basic quality assessment. |
