hi, sorry for interruption, could you please see to the NPOV of exclusion of Brazil from this article. It was there until a month ago, and some guys keep excluding South America and Brazil from what I believe is its just place (and I am not alone, since these previous edits were there long before, to include Brazil). thanks Perroot 21:57, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

Hi. Always use the "move" tab at the top of an article ot move it to a new location. In this case, you can't automatically move Something (song) to Something, because Something has history. We need to request a move at Wikipedia:Requested moves. --FuriousFreddy 23:43, 31 August 2005 (UTC)

Of course, the Portuguese article is much better, but much of the humor would be Lost in Translation. I think this article is sufficient. I saw your post on the Wikiproject:CVG talk page. I think it looks good, and it makes sense having a Sega table, seeing how there is a Nintendo one. Thunderbrand 21:18, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

I was playing around with it but I can't get it to work right, so I didn't save it. The only accessories I tried to add was the VMU and Nexus Memory Card. There are some more under the Sega harware category. Thunderbrand 21:29, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for catching that. We usually are citing webpages, even when the information originally came from a magazine. Also, we typically copy-paste the template and fill it in each time we add a new reference. We must have just overlooked which particular template we were using at the time. Thanks again. 1.) That "guy" is a girl. 2.) I didn't put it up for GA all the time. I only did it twice. The first GA-request was not done by me. I don't know who was the first to nominate it or when he/she did. I just know the Geist (video game) was a failed GA candidate when I started improving the article and that it was far from even a B-rating. When I thought it was good enough for GA, I nominated it. That nomination failed and after changing/improving everything that was wrong with it according to the reviewer, I resubmitted it. As you can see, Geist did get the GA status this time.

I noticed you changed all the refs on Minority Report. I'm one of the main contributors to that article, in the future you should note that violates this ruling. Citation templates are not mandatory as is clearly stated on WP:CITET ("The use of Citation templates is not required by WP:CITE and is neither encouraged nor discouraged by any other Wikipedia citation guidelines" also and in particular "Because they are optional, editors should not change articles from one style to another without consensus.")and the format used in that article was the same I used on Michael Jordan which recently passed FAC. During the Jordan FAC SandyGeorgia helped me format the refs and they are perfectly within guidelines. I say this because I (like many editors) dislike templates. That said I'm not going to revert them and get into a drawn out argument. Just wanted you to know that doing so in the future without discussion might upset other people in the future. Personally I prefer the manual method I do not however go around inserting it into every article I come across.

Incidentally, great work on that section analyzing the differences between the book and the movie. The article is pretty close to GA, I'm going to work on it in the next few days to address the Reviewer's concerns. If you can find any good sourced info on the Themes that would be great. It's very hard to write a solidly sourced Themes section that doesn't use OR. Quadzilla99 06:09, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to the article and thanks for helping out! Might I suggest you review the discussion page before more editing? The recent additions of mini-bios for the characters has been addressed in the past and removed - the consensus was they're a bit to fannish.--Lepeu1999 01:38, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for responding. I'm not arguing with your goal, just a little bit with the execution. The Character Lists you referenced me to are indepth analysis' of the character in question, his/her relation to other similiar fictional or biographical characters as well as what the actor needed to do to prepare to play the character. What we were trying to aviod is an RPG type character bio - which isn't necessary as the plot summary contains much of that information. The SPR character list is actually pretty much a 'stock' war movie list - you've got the rebel farm boy, the 'kid from Brooklyn', the world-weary sarge, the intellectual who doesn't fit in, the loveable dufus and the fatherly leader. Some discussion around the stereotypical character and how the SPR cast either differes from them or pays homage to them might be worth including. I'd strongly suggest at least reading the discussion page first - in full. You called Miller the 'Leader of the Batallion sent to find Ryan'. Captain Miller ran a Company and led only a Squad to find Ryan. There's a lot of notes in there re proper rank and terminology etc - someone'll call you on it if you get it wrong.

RE a Development Section, I think that's a great idea too, but so far what you've added is really historical background. If you can find some information on the whole process, I could see creating a new section. You'll need stuff like:

• We know Rodat started the process, how did Speilberg get involved?
• Who approached who?
• How did they decide on Tom Hanks?
• Who else cooperated in getting the picture made and in what capacity?
• Most of the actors involved have a history of being in Indy Flicks, why were they chosen for SPR? How did they feel about appearing in a big-budget movie?
• What inspired SS to adopt the hyper-realistic mode? That's a big one as it's prob. the single biggest influence the movie's had on other films.

If you can find stuff like that - well sourced, I think we can bump this to GA status. IMO, we're close to that now.--Lepeu1999 14:10, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

That sounds good and I'm glad you're looking to help. I too want to get to GA status. Congratulations on working as a contributor on the articles you cite. Let me say that your edit summaries 'Time to improve the article on my favorite movie' 'needed improvements' suggested arrogance to me & I may have taken it the wrong way. Seeing now that English is your second language (congratulations on that BTW, I wish I were as fluent as you in a second language) I realize that that probably wasn't your intent. It just struck me wrong.

I AGREE with you that we need discriptors - just not a vapid character summary. The article is stronger without that kind of stuff. Tell you what, take a pass at adding what you think it needs and I'll add my adjustments. If you disagree with them, just revert. --Lepeu1999 02:26, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

OK, I just finished reading the 2 articles you cite in the note you left on my talk page and NEITHER has a cast list along the lines of your first edit. Minority Report doesn't even have a Cast section and the Alladin article has an infobox with links to sub-articles on each of the major characters. Further, and please don't take offense here, but looking at the history, your contributions appear to be mostly editing other's work. [1] Good articles can be manually updated, but there are more steps involved in FAs, so GimmeBot update the article talk page on those. For starters, the article probably needs to be fleshed out a little because it just seems a little short. One place that could use expansion is the comparisons to the sequels. My other suggestion would be to either seek out the help of an editor unfamiliar with the text or put it up for peer review (this would be my suggestion). Once you get too familiar with a text, it's hard to give it a good, thorough review. If you didn't get many comments the last time at peer review, say so (gently) in any new peer review request and link to the old one (and FAC nom as well) as this alerts editors to the fact that you need a better review or more attention. Responding and implementing changes thoughtfully and promptly, and thanking reviewers is a good way to encourage more reviewers to have a look. Hi. re "check the lyrics" -- I stated that the song is "there's no point in living if you can't feel a life". My query was why do the actors use the line "there's no point in living if you cant feel alive." (I'll resist the temptation to tell you to check that! Partly because I have.) Can you alter that to reflect the second review to be a pass, instead of an unknown, which looks like the article's review status wasn't updated in that field when the article passed? Thanks. Yep no probs the GA table for Bond is very impressive now I think. When I have time I;ll work on you only live twice -which is the quintessential 60s spy film isn't it and of course the inspiration for my character on wikipedia! Hi. I notice that you have been adding citations to articles such as Say It Right, which is really good. However, I've noticed that some of the citations you are adding don't actually support the statements that they're supposed to be referencing. For example, you added http://www.mediatraffic.de/track-titles.htm as a citation for the statement "...becoming her highest-peaking worldwide single [on the United World Chart]", but that web page lists only the tracks that have appeared on the United World Chart, not their peak positions. Also, you added http://www.musicsquare.net/charts/uk_singles_top_75/2007/44 as a citation for the statement "...tied in October 2007 by Oasis' "Lord Don't Slow Me Down", but the MusicSquare page mentions only that Oasis's song was number ten on the chart that week—it doesn't say anything about it being a download-only release. It is very important for citations to adequately supporting the statements that their positions in the text would suggest they are referencing. Thanks. Hmmm. If there isn't a reliable source, then I'd err on the side of caution and not include it. I just did a search on LexisNexis about the Oasis single and its chart position and nothing came up. Oh, and I'm aware of your (really good) work on the three articles—I don't want to sound like I'm belittling your contributions (even though my previous message may have suggested otherwise), and I think it's really good that there are editors like you who care about things such as referencing. GoldenEye is not comprehensive. The article is supposed to cover all aspects of the film, but it has little discussion of the film's Literary allusions. The missing "Literary allusions" section can be written using the work of film scholars. There is plenty of material available. Here are some examples:

• Judith Halberstam's Female Masculinity
• Christoph Lindner's The James Bond Phenomenon: A Critical Reader

Thanks for your concerns about my Metroid Prime edits, and thanks for bringing it up with me, I appreciate it. However, I did not see a reason for the removal of some of the things you took out, so I placed them back in. It had nothing to do with the fact that I had made an edit before you, it was merely because some of the content was useful, even if it was a little awkwardly written. I see that most of your removals were link fixes and redundancy fixes. It seems to me that some of them contained information that could be useful, such as 'the story of MP3 Corruption tells us that Phazon originated on Phaaze'. Even though that sentence needs work, I don't think it should just be deleted. Without it, the sentences before it infer that Phazon did originate from the shattered pieces of Zebes. Hey Igordebraga, would you like to read over my translation of the Wiki Portuguese article on the Museu do Índio in RJ? I'm learning the language at a university here in the USA, but not quite fluent yet. Probably 80-90% of the new article in English is OK, though sometimes what's perfectly good Portuguese can sound pretty bad in English. I re-wrote what I could, but a few things are totally over my head. Since this is free-style translation (not literal), don't want or need an older guy to do it. I'm sure you'll do great. Everything's arranged on the talk page for easy comparison. Thanks.

I don't object to removing an image in general, just that particular one. I switched a couple of images—I think the Zora transformation image is good to have in the reception section to illustrate the dark imagery mentioned by critics. Look good to you?
