Hussain Yasser Abdulrahman (born 19 January 1984) is a Egyptian-Qatari footballer striker who plays for Al-Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League. His father was an Egyptian player who transferred to Qatar as a coach because of which Hussain born in Qatar. He amazed with his great skills at AEL FC and the fans still call him 'skatomoulla' or 'poutanopaidi', meaning son of the ball.

[edit] Royal Antwerp
Yasser played outside his home country for the first time when he played for Royal Antwerp of Belgium in 2002-03 and 2003-04. He failed to impress at Antwerp, and was released. Yasser then signed for AEL Limassol. However, in the middle of the 2004-05 season, he went back to his country to play for Al-Sadd before signing for Manchester City.

In August 2005, Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce signed him on the recommendation of former City player Ali Benarbia, who played with Yasser in Qatar. In the process, he became the first Qatari to sign for an English club. However, Yasser made only one first team appearance, in a League Cup match against Doncaster Rovers. He was released in January 2006

at which point he returned to Qatar, playing for Al-Sadd, winning the Q-League and the Heir Apparent Trophy. In 2006-07,then he signed for Al-Rayyan for a season.
[edit] Sporting Braga
During the Summer of 2007, Hussain signed a deal with Portuguese club Sporting Braga. He became the first Qatari to play in the UEFA Cup. In the 4th of October 2007 he scored his first goal with his new team in UEFA cup.

In May 2008, Hussain Joined Al Ahly of Egypt, with a 3-year contract. Hussain Yasser is represented by Ramy Abbas, legal advisor and licensed players' agent by the Colombian Football Federation.

Yasser played in the 2007 Gulf Cup, held in the United Arab Emirates in late January. Qatar team did not win, but Hussain impressed many. There was a request for him to enter one of the Emirati clubs, but he said that he still had a contract with Al-Rayyan and wasn't thinking far into the future for now.
