[edit] size

perhaps it should be noted somewhere that this tree is freaking huge. It looks pretty small on the pictures. 82.73.58.17 (talk) 14:43, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] GA Review

  • There are a couple of things that look like jargon; what's a "formal upright" Foeminia? and this: eleven Foemina junipers (Juniperus chinensis 'Foemina'), so the Foemina Junipers are Juniperus chinensis? shouldn't this be [[Juniperus chinensis|Foemina junipers]]?
  • The anon above is right, how much does the Goshin measure? I tried a google search with no results, but it seems pretty essential.
I'll take another look in a few days.--Yamanbaiia(free hugs!) 08:22, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Foemina junipers are a specific variety of Chinese Juniper (Juniperus chinensis). It's pretty common to use a plant's standard name, followed by the scientific name in parentheses, and cultivars are written like: Genus species 'Cultivar'. "Formal upright" is jargon for a specific shape of bonsai; I'll link the term to the section of the Bonsai article that describes it. I found the size (4 feet), and added it to the article.--ragesoss (talk) 05:08, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I can't think of anything else so...GA it is!, thanks. --Yamanbaiia(free hugs!) 10:00, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
