Erina Shire was a Local Government Area covering most of the Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia from 1906 to 1946.
The shire was created by the Local Government (Shires) Act 1905; previously, there had been no local government in the region. Gosford Municipality, which had been established in 1886, was merged into Erina Shire in 1908. In 1928, part of Erina Shire was split off to create Woy Woy Shire. In 1936, Gosford was again separated from Erina Shire as a new municipality.
At the end of 1946, Erina Shire, Woy Woy Shire and Gosford Municipality were all dissolved, and replaced by Wyong Shire and Gosford Shire (now the City of Gosford).
