David Scott Berg (born September 3, 1970 in Roseville, California) is a Major League Baseball player. Originally selected by the Marlins in the 38th round of the 1993 Draft, Berg is currently a free agent who last played for the Oklahoma RedHawks in the Texas Rangers organization. He bats and throws right-handed.
A versatile utility-man in the purest sense, Berg is an adequate defensive player at all infield positions who in the past has played left and right field, although not particularly well. He has played all or part of seven major league seasons with the Florida Marlins (1998-2001), Toronto Blue Jays (2002-04), and Boston Red Sox (2005).
Berg played college baseball at Miami and has appeared in 582 Major League Baseball games in his career.
